About Palermo

Palermo is Buenos Aires’ largest and greenest neighborhood. It subdivides into several smaller but distinct units: Palermo Chico and Palermo Viejo, which further subdivides into Palermo Soho, Palermo Hollywood, and Las Cañitas. With nearly 350 acres of parks, wooded areas, and lakes, designed by French landscape architect Charles Thays in 1874, Palermo provides a peaceful escape from the rush of downtown.

Our apartment is in Palermo Chico or Barrio Parque which is one of the most exclusive residential areas in the city due to its elegant buildings. You'll also find many of the different embassies, well-maintained parks (e.g., The Japanese Gardens) and plazas that are characteristic of the area.

Palermo Viejo, divided into Palermo Soho and Palermo Hollywood is the trendiest ¨barrio¨ of the city with its bohemian and vanguard atmosphere.
